Oral History Projects

One of Sady's primary areas of expertise is designing and producing ethical and relationship-based oral history projects. Her approach incorporates a consent-based style of relational, narrator-led interviewing, creating a comfortable and respectful space for participants to share their stories. She employs a participant-centric approach that prioritizes well-being and agency while incorporating embodiment practices to deepen the connection and understanding between narrators and the oral history process.

Archival Consulting & Preservation

Sady has collaborated with various family groups, private communities, and organizations to document and preserve oral histories and other archival materials for future generations.

Multimedia Resources

From digital archives and audio walking tours to curriculum kits, museum exhibitions, books, and digital publications, Sady leverages oral history interviews as primary sources to create new meaning and experiences that inform future progress.

Educational Tools and Workshops

Sady has developed educational tools, including a resource guide titled "If You're Thinking about Starting an Oral History Project” (available for download in the Projects gallery), and offers oral history workshops and semester-long courses at various institutions, fostering knowledge sharing and empowering individuals to engage with oral history ethically and effectively.
